Anne Malone

It was my dad’s dream that we live close to the earth, so he bought a farm in a small town in Mississippi. Growing up, we did chores, took care of livestock, raised our own food, and had the confidence that our neighbors would come to our aid if we ever needed them. While my life is very different today, I cherish the many lessons I learned on the farm: to be patient, to work hard, and to respect and preserve the environment.

As I grew older, I longed for a more worldly atmosphere, exposure to the arts, and generally more liberal values. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a BS in Geology, I moved to Chicago and never looked back.

An entrepreneur at heart, I founded and led a catering company, hosting events for clients like the University of Chicago and Northwestern University. Catering is all about understanding and exceeding client expectations, and we did that beautifully and deliciously. Fourteen years later, after becoming a mother and getting more invested in the community, I sold my catering company and transitioned into residential sales.

I love everything about real estate. Over the last decade, I have been involved with home sales, rentals, development, and condo conversions. I especially enjoy the aesthetic side of the business; architecture and interior design are a passion of mine. I take pleasure in imagining how I might design spaces differently and sometimes make those changes through staging or assisting clients with a comprehensive renovation. I also appreciate that with my clients,

I often develop a relationship that transcends business. We get to know each other very well, which also means that discretion is key.

I affiliated with Engel & Völkers Chicago North Shore because it is a modern, high-end boutique led by entrepreneurs like me. The company’s exacting standards, attention to detail, elegant marketing, and commitment to support their advisors stands in sharp contrast to the legacy brands that currently exist on the North Shore. Engel & Völkers is a global company with offices throughout the United States and the world; we understand how to move forward

in our increasingly complex, data driven world while simultaneously remaining focused on elevating the real estate experience for our clients. I am thrilled to offer, through Engel & Völkers, a white-glove experience for my clients.

I am also excited to be an ambassador to all that the North Shore has to offer. I love to welcome new families to the North Shore. It is livable, stylish, and offers an amazing lifestyle. I have firsthand knowledge based on my involvement with the schools, sports, clubs, and community-based activities, including the Women’s Board of the Winnetka Community House, that is invaluable to my clients as they determine where they will next call “home.” We are living

the dream, and you can too!

Connect to the Chicago shop and Shoreline Shop we create a seamless network between Illinois and Michigan, all along the lake shore.

We are tough judges of service providers, and we are almost always disappointed. But Anne Malone literally could not have been better in any way.
